Jeremy's Personal Statement

I approach every client with great respect and patience. I typically ask many questions and allow enough time for you to feel confident that I understand your needs and goals for therapy. Together, we will consider the best approach to take and strive to optimize each session, making the most efficient and productive use of your time.

You may wonder how much I really care about my clients and the challenges they face. I can tell you that my heart goes into every session and that I truly care about what I do. You can be confident that every time you come to see me you will have my full attention and genuine interest. It is important that your therapist can empathize with your needs and be trusted with your most personal and private concerns.

The world we live in is often very critical and is focused on everything that is going wrong! Therapy does not completely revolve around an ongoing discussion of the negative things in your life. At times we will laugh together and use humor to relieve tension and negative feelings. Therapy is intended to create positive changes in your life! We will focus on finding solutions to the issues you are struggling with. I want you to move beyond your current difficulties and begin to experience the amazing life that awaits you. This often means taking bold steps that you may not have considered before or have been too afraid to attempt. I will often be directive and offer insight and suggestions for you to consider.

I strive to keep an open mind and always listen for deeper feelings that may not have been spoken. I want to create an atmosphere of trust and comfort where the people I work with feel completely safe to open up their lives to me. I, too, am human and have experienced the vast array of human emotions. I have undergone personal loss and triumph and can relate to many people.
